The short version

Creek Cover is reader-supported. Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means if you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. It never changes which product we recommend or which pick we name as the beginner safe-default. That’s the whole deal, stated up front.

Amazon Associates

Creek Cover is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Most of our product links go to Amazon, which is usually the simplest place to buy — real current pricing, fast shipping, and easy returns.

Other affiliate programs

We also participate in other affiliate networks, including CJ Affiliate, which lets us link to brand-direct stores (such as CenterPoint Archery and Kings Camo) when buying direct is genuinely better for you — better fit, stock, or warranty. Where a brand-direct link isn’t yet set up to earn on our end, we still link it if it’s the best option for you as the buyer; we’d rather point you to the right store than only to the one that pays us.

How our links work

• Outbound buy links route through our own /go redirect so a click can carry the correct tracking. The destination is always the real retailer or brand store.
• Affiliate links carry the standard rel="sponsored nofollow" markup and open in a new tab.
• Every page with buy links shows a short disclosure near the top, and buy buttons are marked with an #ad label that links back here.

Prices come from the retailer

We do not set prices, and we never type a price into an article. Prices you see render from a live data feed and are stamped with the date they were captured; they change often, so the price on the retailer’s page at checkout is what applies. When we can’t show a current price, we say “check price” and link you to the live listing rather than risk showing a stale number.

Editorial independence

Commission rates never influence our rankings. We regularly recommend a cheaper product over a pricier one that would pay us more, because our job is to give a beginner the right first pick.
