Every factual claim on Creek Cover traces to a checkable source — a manufacturer’s published specification or manual, an industry standard, a state wildlife agency, or a hunter-education program. We cite those sources on the page. We do not publish specifications, prices, ratings, or review counts we can’t verify; where we can’t confirm something, we say so plainly rather than guessing. Prices always render from a live feed and are dated — see how we research & pick.

Independence from advertisers

Creek Cover is reader-supported through affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure). Commission never influences our rankings or which pick we name as the beginner safe-default. When a cheaper option is the better buy, we say so even when a pricier one would pay us more. We accept no payment for placement, no sponsored reviews, and no free products in exchange for coverage.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it. Spotted an error — an outdated spec, a discontinued product, a broken link, a price that looks off? Tell us through the contact pageand we’ll correct it. Substantive corrections are reflected in the page’s “last updated” date.

Update cadence

Products get discontinued and prices move. We re-verify that top picks are still in production and still the right recommendation on a regular cadence, and we refresh the “last updated” date only when something actually changed — we don’t re-date pages just to appear fresh. The live price layer handles day-to-day pricing automatically.

Author transparency
